Common Causes
⚠️ Red Flags — See a Vet Immediately
- •Seizure lasting >3 minutes (status epilepticus)
- •Multiple seizures in 24 hours
- •First seizure in pet >6 years old
- •Seizure after known toxin exposure
- •No recovery between seizures
When to See a Vet
After any first seizure, or immediately if a seizure lasts more than 3 minutes or clusters occur.
